On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, Rockstar Games announced on their official website that Grand Theft Auto V will coming in Spring 2013. This news is in line with the previous speculation from gaming analysts and reporters that the game would arrive most likely before March 2013. Additionally, Rockstar noted that pre-orders for the game will start officially on November 5, 2012. It's expected these will occur online and in real world video game stores.

The game is already showing up on various UK websites for pre-order with a late March release date. It also is showing up on Amazon.com with no release date listed as of this time, but a price of $59.99. Rockstar Games has noted that the game will be releasing for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, but at this time there is no GTA 5 release date news for PC video game fans.
Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean, Rockstar commented in a blog post.

As well as that, preorders for the title will begin next week on November 5, so those of you anxious to ensure yourself a copy at launch will be able to do so.

It’s not a bad time to be a fan of GTA right now. The tenth anniversary of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is almost upon us, and to celebrate, Rockstar will be throwing out a port of the classic title to iOS and Android. It’s said to offer quite a few improvements on the old version, too, and with GTA III’s ten-year version providing a perfect example of how a game should be reintroduced onto a new platform, one has to hope Vice City follows suit.
